Sidenav was brought in to consult on the digital transformation of CPFC's integrated platforms, tools and services to create a solution fit for a Premier League club. Through our knowledge of omni-channel and integrated tech solutions, we successfully overhauled their digital ecosystem in under 18 months. The new CPFC website was also nominated for a prestigious Webby Award.

Overview
The complexities of a Premier League club's digital operations are vast. Some might describe it as multiple large businesses rolled into one. CPFC was operating on legacy tech with disconnected services and fragmented data which made it difficult to engage fans effectively.
We worked closely with the CPFC team to create a strategy and architect a new digital ecosystem that was fit for purpose, mobile-first and would enable them to achieve a single view of customer to better understand and target their fan base and unlock commercial opportunities.
Challenge
We had three big challenges to solve:
Creating a cohesive fan experience across the website, app and other key digital touch points.
Create a data solution to achieve a 'Single View of Fan' such that segmentation, insights, marketing, and data management were fit for purpose.
Empower the in-house team to leverage opportunities and drive commercial growth for the club.
Solution
Leveraging our expertise in digital transformation, we took a multi-faceted approach to successfully solve CPFCs challenges:
Developed a digital strategy to focus efforts on a common goal
Audited the current digital products, services and providers to identify what stays and what goes
Established budgets, run rates, and potential commercial uplifts from new solution
Created briefs and ran a full procurement process with carefully selected tech providers
Analyses solutions, costs and ways of working to align with club's goals and team structure
Negotiated final deals to procure new CMS, Website, App, Data Lake, SSO and Support Capabilities
Guided the transition from old to new including contracts, technical requirements, solution architecture
Results
Working closely with the newly procured tech partners, the entire programme of work was delivered in under 18 months and came in under budget. This included a new website, mobile apps, data lake, CMS and data tools.
The website was nominated for a prestigious Webby Award in the category of Sports.
